When I was young I am me

Who am I? How does one define oneself? I suppose I could start with where I am. I live and work in the San Francisco Bay Area. Golden Gate Bridge I was raised here and only moved away when I married. After eight years I came back. To stay. While I was away, I became a mother to three children. All grown now.
Jeremy
There is my oldest son, Jeremy, who recently moved to Arkansas.

Melissa And then there is my daughter, Melissa, who lives with her husband and baby in Georgia.

Bryan My youngest son, Bryan, still lives at home.
Junior

Of course if my daughter has a son, that means I'm a grandmother! Certainly something I'm still coming to terms with. Sometimes I still feel like I'm just out of school myself. How did I get so old so fast? Penalty, I guess for having children so young myself!

Mom

And it's no good complaining to my Mom about being a grandmother. After all, I'm about the same age now as she was when I made her a grandmother. "Besides," she says, "try being a great-grandmother!"

Dad I work for my Dad and brother. They own a small commercial printing shop and I am in charge of color prepress. I prepare the computer files given to us by clients to be used in generating the film we need in order to print their job.

Gordon

I also do some desktop publishing and design. And now, I'm learning web site design. We are pretty much all bitten by the computer bug!

Also, I have a cat. Ebony. He's in retirement from the print shop. He worked for 16 years hunting mice and rats. Now he lives a life of ease with me. the cat

That pretty much sums it up except for...oh yeah...my name! Kathleen. See, what more could you want?

Update: Sadly, my father passed away January 24, 1999. I've created a little tribute to him in honor of his memory. (This requires a version 4 browser since it incorporates DHTML.)
